Extremely fresh salad containing several herbs and vegetables, in addition to the grilled bread broken into small pieces and a good amount of sumac , all topped with a dose of pomegranate molasses for a sweet and tart flavor

ingredients:

  • Romaine lettuce | 1
  • Tomatoes | 3
  • English cucumber | ½
  • Radish | ½ bunch
  • Spring onions | 4
  • Italian Parsley | 1 bunch
  • Mint | ½ bunch
  • Lebanese bread | 2 small
  • Olive oil | 10 tbsp
  • Pomegranate molasses | 3½ tbsp
  • Sumac | 1 tbsp
  • Salt

How to cook Fattoush with Pomegranate molasses

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 300 F
  2. Thin out the leaves of the parsley and the mint
  3. Cut the romaine into strips, the tomatoes into cubes, the radishes and the onions into slices, and thinly slice the cucumber
  4. Cut the bread into 1 in squares and separate the two sides, spread on a baking sheet and grill in the oven for 10 min
  5. Toss the bread with the olive oil and the sumac to keep it crispy
  6. Toss all ingredients with the bread just before serving
  7. Add the pomegranate molasses and salt to taste
